We entered this project knowing it would be fun. Even though it was as hard as any architecture and design project we have ever done - fitting so many practical functions, weaving a public flow and a staff operational flow, improving engineering, raising the ceiling and exposing structure - it somehow felt easy because of the complete belief between owner Jen Eberwein each other’s teams. We met as strangers and became lifelong friends.
This award-winning project was made possible through the tireless support of several people on the BCD team. Katie saw every teeny detail through as the project’s design lead. Jamie got the architectural and permit drawings absolutely perfect behind the scenes. Louie, my Coop Forge partner, made all sorts of crazy screens and signs together with me. And our friends at True Hand Society set us up for success with the coolest brand graphics.
Jen is Benita’s hairstylist now (she is the real deal, truly) and styled her for the ASID award event. How fun is it when life comes full circle like this?
